Location: Livingston

Working Hours: 37hrs per week - Shifts three shifts

  • Monday to Thursday: 6am to 2pm, 10pm to 6am and 2pm to 10pm
  • Friday: 6am to 12.20pm, 6:40pm to 1am and 12:20 to 6:40pm

Salary: £30,731.94 + shift premium £7,682.99 annual salary £38,414.93

After successful probationary: £31,366.65 + shift premium £7,841.66 annual salary £39,208.31

We are lucky to be working with one of the world’s leading manufacturers of Nickel, Titanium and Steel alloy forgings for the aerospace, defence and energy sectors. A vacancy has arisen for an Electrical Fitter to join their team based in Livingston. This is an ideal opportunity for a candidate who would like to continue their career within an exciting and progressive manufacturing facility.

Responsibilities: As part of a skilled team, this role involves working to both planned and reactive maintenance schedules within the plant, repairing and maintaining forging presses, furnaces, machine tools, plus electrical installations and PAT testing. The successful candidate will join a team responsible for all elements of electrical plant maintenance.

Experience: Applicants must be self-motivated and have the ability to manage a varied and demanding workload. You must have a proven track record of fault finding with the ability to read technical drawings. You must also be able to work at heights and in enclosed spaces, as well as having basic IT skills together with excellent verbal and written communication skills. Prior industry experience in electrical maintenance covering medium voltage distribution systems, equipment breakdowns, troubleshooting, and working with inspection and maintenance programs to meet statutory requirements is essential.

Education: Time served Electrical (Relevant apprenticeship (Must have trade papers)
