Pertemps are delighted to be working with our public sector client to recruit a Senior Transport Support Administrator on a temporary basis.
Location: Edinburgh Central (hybrid working)
Hours: Monday to Friday, 36 hours per week
Pay Rate: £15.53 per hour
Duration: Temporary ongoing
Start Date: Immediate
This role sits within the Network Management & Enforcement team, supporting Transport Officers, Engineers, Project Managers and the Team Manager with the delivery of Transport projects and services across the city.

What You’ll Be Doing
- Providing a reliable senior administrative support service via telephone, email, MS Teams and face-to-face contact
- Supporting Transport Officers and the Team Manager with day-to-day administrative and coordination tasks
- Assisting with project delivery by organising information, documentation and service requests
- Developing and maintaining strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- Handling sensitive and personal information in line with legislation, policies and governance requirements
- Using internal systems to process service requests, updates and data for wider public sector services
- Ensuring all data, records and systems are kept accurate, up to date and compliant
- Progressing requests to wider public sector services to source additional information where required
- Supporting new initiatives and contributing to the strategic direction of Transport services
- Identifying risks associated with customer contact services and taking appropriate action to mitigate these
- Resolving service-related issues and queries relating to Transport service provision and legislative outcomes
- Prioritising workloads effectively to meet deadlines and service expectations
What We’re Looking For
- Strong experience in a senior administrative or business support role
- Excellent organisational skills with strong attention to detail
- Confidence managing multiple priorities and making day-to-day decisions
- Strong communication skills with the ability to liaise professionally with a wide range of stakeholders
- Experience working with IT systems, databases and data management
- Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion and professionalism
- Experience working within a regulated or legislative environment is desirable
- A proactive, solution-focused approach to supporting service delivery
