Pertemps are delighted to be working with the City of Edinburgh Council to recruit for a Communications Assistant (Employee Communications) on a temporary basis.

Location: Edinburgh City Centre
Salary: £14.93 per hour
Contract Type: Temporary, ongoing
Hours: Full-Time, 36 hours per week
Start Date: ASAP

About the Role:
Are you passionate about creating meaningful and engaging communications that enhance the employee experience? We are looking for a dedicated and proactive Communications Assistant to support the internal communications team, helping to ensure their 18,000 colleagues are informed, inspired, and connected.

You\’ll help to drive forward the delivery of the internal communications and colleague engagement strategy which has an ambitious programme of work including leadership engagement events, colleague awards and planning, designing and implementing campaigns.

Key Responsibilities:
Write, edit and proofread content across their internal communications platforms including email, newsletters and internal news site.
Support the planning and execution of colleague communication and engagement campaigns and events.
Help maintain the internal communications calendar and ensure timely delivery of key messages.
Collaborate with teams across the organisation to collect and share colleague stories and successes.
Contribute to the development of videos, infographics, and other internal communication materials.
