IT Configuration Technician Location: Rugby Job Type: Full-time Salary: Β£12.65 β Β£15.11phr About the Role We are looking for a motivated IT Configuration Technician to join our growing configuration team in Rugby. Youβll be working in a fast-paced environment preparing IT equipment for customers, ensuring all tasks are completed to a high standard and in line with agreed service levels. This role is ideal for someone with a strong interest in IT, great attention to detail, and the ability to work well under pressure as part of a team. Key Responsibilities Asset tagging customer IT equipment Hardware upgrades on desktops, laptops, and servers Applying customer images to machines Preparing and packaging equipment securely for delivery Removing and disposing of packaging safely Supporting intermediate-level engineers when required Updating and maintaining basic spreadsheets Logging data accurately using internal systems Carrying out general configuration tasks as directed by the leadership teamSkills & Experience Experience in a similar IT or warehouse environment (desirable but not essential) Basic understanding of SLAs and the importance of meeting deadlines Confident using Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook Familiarity with installing Windows operating systems (desirable) GCSEs in English and Maths preferred Basic warehousing experience is an advantagePersonal Attributes Strong interest in IT and technology Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Physically fit, as the role involves manual handling Self-motivated with a strong work ethic Quick learner with the ability to follow instructions accurately Comfortable working under pressure and to tight deadlines Highly organised with excellent attention to detail Reliable, professional, and honest Flexible to work overtime when required Passionate about continuous improvement and efficiencyWhy Join Us?
