Are you a skilled and experienced Toolmaker? The successful candidate will be responsible for the manufacture, maintenance, and repair of tooling and dies to precise engineering drawings within tight tolerances.
Working for a leading global manufacturer of precision-forged and machined components. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a state-of-the-art facility producing high-performance tooling for the aerospace and automotive industries.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manufacture extrusion, mould, and finish dies from raw materials.
- Produce single-stage clip tools.
- Operate manual and CNC machinery including:
o Manual milling and turning
o Surface grinding
o 3, 4, and 5 axis CNC milling (Heidenhain and WinMax controls)
- Perform manual compensation and bench work.
- Polish tools to 320-grain finish.
- Carry out PPM servicing and repair of tooling.
- Respond to and resolve tooling breakdowns.
Requirements:
- Toolmaker apprenticeship or minimum 5 years\’ experience in a toolroom environment.
- Experience setting and operating CNC machinery.
- Ideally experienced in heavy manufacturing, preferably aerospace or automotive sectors.
- Solid understanding of engineering drawings and measurement tools.
