The client is an established and successful manufacturer of high tolerance machined components to various industries. Due to recent growth, they are seeking to recruit a CNC Setter for their operations in Redditch.

Salary – 31,000 to 37,000 per annum.

Benefits of working with the company are as follows;

Hours of work is either Days Monday to Friday or a rotating shift (6am to 2pm / 2pm to 10pm) – shift premiums paid for rotating shift.

The main responsibility of the CNC Setter is to carry out CNC machining (milling and turning) to produce high quality parts and components.

Responsibilities and duties are as follows;

  • Set and operate 3 & 4 axis milling (X, Y, Z & A) machines.
  • Set and operate Fanuc CNC Turning machines.
  • Carry out some basic online programming.
  • Read and interpret technical drawings to ensure accurate production.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve any issues with machines and on production processes.
  • Measuring of machined parts and adjustment of off sets.

Experience and qualifications for the role are as follows;

  • Experience at setting and adjusting CNC vertical and horizontal milling and CNC Turning machinery.
  • Knowledge of Fanuc controls.
  • Able to read technical drawings.
  • Able to use measuring equipment.
  • A \”can do\” attitude and able to work on own initiative.
  • A friendly and courteous manner.

The company are based in Redditch so are commutable from Bromsgrove, Alcester, Birmingham, Solihull, Droitwich, Worcester, Dudley, Stratford upon Avon.
