We are representing a well-established company based in Redditch, and we're looking for an enthusiastic and driven Internal Sales Engineer to help support and grow our customer base.
Key Responsibilities:
- Handle inbound sales enquiries and provide technical support to customers.
- Prepare and follow up on quotations, ensuring accuracy and timely responses.
- Liaise with engineering and production teams to ensure customer requirements are met.
- Maintain strong relationships with existing customers and proactively identify new sales opportunities.
- Keep CRM systems up to date with sales activity and customer information.
- Interpret customer product specifications to propose a definitive technical solution.
- Take ownership of customer queries including tender pricing guidance, providing information about stock and offering an alternative.
- Attend technical meetings and support with customer visits on request.
Skills and Experience:
- Previous experience in a technical sales, applications engineering, or customer support role within an engineering or manufacturing environment.
- Strong communication skills and a proactive, customer-focused mindset.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings or specifications (advantageous).
- Proficient with MS Office and CRM systems. SAP would be an advantage.
- Mechanical/ Engineering qualification (ONC/HNC/HND or equivalent).
- Experience working within automotive, manufacturing or engineering is required.
