Job Title: Experienced Ledger Clerk Salary: £27,000 – £30,000 (depending on experience) Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:30 PM Location: Office-based (Bromsgrove) Job Description We are seeking an experienced Ledger Clerk to join a thriving team in Bromsgrove, focusing on managing subcontractor invoices and CIS payments, while also overseeing the purchase ledger process from start to finish. The ideal candidate will bring a strong ledger background, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to work confidently with computer systems in in a fast-paced office environment. Key Responsibilities: Process and maintain accurate records of supplier invoices, purchase orders, and payments. Manage the financial records and transactions related to sub-contractors, including invoice validation and payment schedules. Processing CIS payments and update relevant systems. Maintain records to support compliance with HMRC’s CIS requirements (training will be provided). Liaise with sub-contractors to ensure compliance with financial procedures and contractual obligations. Manage supplier queries and ensure timely resolution of discrepancies. Provide regular updates on ledger performance and outstanding issues. Collaborate with the accounts team to ensure smooth workflow and adherence to deadlines. Assist with additional accounting duties as needed.Key Skills & Experience Required: Experience: A minimum of 3 years within sales or purchase ledger. Experience with sub-contracting ledger is desirable. Computer Proficiency: Confident using various computer systems and accounting software. Attention to Detail: Excellent accuracy in financial record-keeping. Communication Skills: Professional and clear communication, both written and verbal.
