Are you a Business Development Manager, Key Account Manager or Sales Executive looking for the next step? We have the exciting opportunity for a BDM to join a leading supplier within their sector to expand their customer account base.
You will act as a primary point of contact, engaging directly with clients, understanding their unique needs in the off-grid sector, and driving sales growth. You will combine a proactive sales approach with exceptional relationship management skills to deliver outstanding customer experiences and achieve ambitious targets within this specialised market to a worldwide customer base.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:- Identify New Business Opportunities: Proactively identify and develop new business opportunities, focusing on B2B/Trade accounts.
- Relationship Building: Build and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with key decision-makers at all levels within client organisations.
- On-Site Engagement: Conduct regular face-to-face meetings, presentations, and product demonstrations at client locations to understand their needs and provide tailored solutions.
- Account Management: Manage a portfolio of key trade accounts, ensuring customer satisfaction and driving repeat business.
- Customer Onboarding: Oversee the smooth and efficient onboarding process for new trade clients.
- Account Planning: Develop and implement strategic account plans that align with overall sales objectives and business goals.
- Performance Monitoring: Conduct regular account reviews to assess performance, identify growth opportunities, and address any potential issues.
- Market Intelligence: Gather and report on market trends, competitor activity, and customer feedback to inform sales strategies.
- Communication and Collaboration: Maintain clear and consistent communication with clients, internal teams (including customer support), and management. Provide timely and accurate sales reports and forecasts. Collaborate with cross-functional teams (marketing, customer service etc.) to ensure a seamless customer experience. Stay up-to-date on industry trends, product knowledge, and best practices. Identify opportunities for process improvement and contribute to the development of innovative sales strategies. Contribute to a culture of customer focused improvement.
- Proven track record of success in B2B/Trade sales.
- Knowledge of battery systems, off-grid or solar PV systems.
- Strong relationship-building and account management skills.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
- Self-motivated, results-oriented, and able to work independently.
- Strong organisational and time-management skills.
- Proficiency in IT systems (e.g., Shopify, Zendesk and Google).
