The predicted salary is between 11 - 16 £ per hour.

Location: Plymouth, PL9

Pay Rate: £13.26 per hour

Hours: Monday–Thursday 06:00–14:30, Friday 06:00–11:00

Assignment: Temporary, with the potential to become permanent depending on the needs and requirements for the department.

Pertemps are pleased to be supporting Plymouth City Council as they expand their Bulky Waste Collection service. We are now recruiting additional operatives to join the team.

What the Role Involves

This is a physically demanding, fast-paced position that requires strong stamina and a positive, can-do attitude. You’ll be responsible for the collection of domestic and commercial bulky waste across Plymouth, completing approximately 15 jobs per day. The work involves manual handling, loading and unloading items, and working outdoors in all weather conditions.

Requirements

  • Recent manual labour or manual handling experience (within the last 6 months).
  • Ability to commit to the working hours and arrive at the depot in good time before the 06:00 start.
  • Strong teamwork skills and a positive, reliable attitude.
  • Willingness to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
  • Ability to complete all required compliance and referencing checks.
