£29,000 – £35,000 per annum
37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday
Pertemps, on behalf of our client, are looking for a Service Performance & Development Manager to take ownership of people management across a thriving Services department. This role is all about creating consistency, supporting career growth, and making sure every team member feels supported, engaged, and set up for success.
You’ll work closely with Customer Success Managers and Learning Delivery Managers – who handle the day-to-day mentoring – while you provide the structure, processes, and oversight that drive performance and development across the whole team.
What you’ll do:
Lead on all formal people management activities, ensuring fairness and consistency.
Support managers in regular 1:1s and performance discussions, helping employees set and achieve meaningful goals.
Develop and maintain objectives, development plans, and career pathways.
Manage performance concerns constructively through clear processes.
Take ownership of recruitment and onboarding within the department.
Act as the first point of contact for absence, wellbeing support, and workload concerns.
Keep an eye on team capacity and capability to ensure smooth delivery.About you: We’re looking for someone with strong leadership skills who knows how to balance people development with business needs. You’ll have:
Experience managing larger teams (20+ staff).
A solid understanding of HR practices and performance frameworks.
Strong background in recruitment and onboarding.
The confidence to handle performance conversations with empathy and clarity.
Excellent collaboration skills, able to work closely with managers, HR, and leadership.What you’ll get in return:
