Procurement & Materials Coordinator\\n\\nSalary: £28,000–£30,000 | Permanent | Monday–Friday, 7:30am–4pm\\nLocation: Pensilva, Liskeard | Free on-site parking\\n\\nPertemps are assisting a construction business with a family-run feel, where people come first and staff development is valued. We’re looking for a proactive, organised Procurement Coordinator who can manage changing workloads, adapt to delays, and keep construction projects running smoothly.\\n\\nThe Role\\nYou’ll play a key part in ensuring materials, suppliers, and schedules are aligned across projects. Construction is unpredictable, with weather delays and shifting priorities, so you’ll need to be flexible, solutions-focused, and able to reprioritise work at short notice.\\n\\nKey Responsibilities:\\nProcurement & Materials Management\\n\\nSource timber, engineered wood, panel products, fixings, membranes, cranes, and haulage.\\nRaise and manage purchase orders, update schedules, and track deliveries.\\nEnsure materials reach site or manufacturing facilities on time.Supplier Management\\n\\nBuild strong relationships with approved suppliers.\\nNegotiate pricing, lead times, and agreements.\\nMonitor performance and resolve quality, delivery, or service issues.Project Coordination\\n\\nLiaise with design, estimating, production, and site teams.\\nReprioritise and reschedule work to manage weather delays or other construction disruptions.\\nResolve supply chain challenges quickly.Cost Control & Reporting\\n\\nManage material costs within budget.\\nIdentify savings opportunities, bulk purchases, and alternative sourcing.\\nMaintain accurate records and report on supplier performance, price changes, and material allocation.Quality & Stock Management\\n\\nEnsure materials meet industry standards, building regulations, and company requirements.\\nMaintain timber certifications and manage non-conforming materials.\\nMonitor stock levels, minimise waste, and plan project-specific requirements.What We’re Looking For\\nExperience in procurement, purchasing, or supply chain coordination\\nConstruction industry experience (timber frame, manufacturing, or related areas advantageous)\\nKnowledge of timber and construction materials\\nStrong organisational, communication, and Microsoft Excel skills\\nCommercial awareness\\nAbility to adapt to changing workloads and work under pressureWhy You’ll Love This Role\\nWork in a construction business with a family-run feel where your ideas and input matter\\n28 days holiday plus extra for length of service, with Christmas shutdown\\nFree on-site parking\\nOpportunity to take ownership, develop professionally, and make a real impactTo Apply:\\nContact Chelsea Goodman at the Pertemps Plymouth office for more information or to submit your application today to avoid missing out
