Are you ready to deliver a difference? Royal Mail is seeking enthusiastic and dedicated individuals for temporary postal and delivery driver positions. If you have a passion for community service and love being on the move, this is the perfect opportunity for you!

Location: Ivybridge

Shift: Working 5 days between Monday – Sunday. Please note this position involves weekend working and it’s vital you can commit to this.

Hours: 30 hrs per week with varying start/finish times depending on site. 10:00 – 16:00pm.

Hourly Rate: £13.37 basic rate (additional rate for overtime)

About the role: You’ll start your day for an hour or so in the local delivery office, loading the mail for your route, before setting out on foot or in a provided van to complete your parcel/mail round. You’ll each be given a hand-held computer device to capture customer signatures for deliveries with each round usually taking around four hours to complete. The hand-held computer will also act as your routing system putting your round in the most economical route.

About You: Upbeat and self-motivated, you’ll be as happy working alone as well as working as part of a team and getting to know different people on your round. You’ll have a strong sense of community and the idea of doing a job that involves flexible working patterns will appeal to you. You will be delivering post/parcels come rain or shine, so we’re looking for people who like being outdoors whatever the weather; you’ll also be someone who likes the idea of doing a job that will help you keep fit. Some experience in a customer facing role would be ideal.

Requirements:

  • A full UK manual driving licence required (in your current UK address), with no more than six penalty points is essential, but a clean licence is preferred.
  • Right to work ID – Passport in current name or original birth certificate
  • Proof of current home address – Bank statement or utility bill issued in the last three months
  • Proof of NI number
