Contact Centre Operator – Nights Location: Derriford, Plymouth, UK Hours: 18:45 – 06:45, 12-hour night shifts on a 4-on, 4-off rota Contract: Temporary to Permanent, Full-time Pertemps are recruiting on behalf of our client for an organised, calm-under-pressure Contact Centre Operator to join their growing team in Derriford, Plymouth. This is a fantastic opportunity to be at the heart of a busy, fast-paced control environment – where no two nights are the same! About the Role You’ll be the first line of response for incidents, ensuring that any issues are dealt with quickly, efficiently, and professionally. This is a mix of proactive monitoring and reactive incident handling – perfect for someone who thrives in a role where attention to detail and quick thinking are key. Your main responsibilities will include: Monitoring alarms, security systems, and CCTV feeds to identify and respond to incidents. Escalating issues according to set protocols, liaising with internal teams and emergency services where necessary. Carrying out system health checks and reporting any faults. Ensuring smooth shift handovers so nothing gets missed. Providing first-line technical support for security equipment. Maintaining accurate records and safeguarding data in line with GDPR. Acting with complete discretion and professionalism at all times.What We’re Looking For Excellent communication skills – both written and verbal. Strong time management and multitasking abilities. Confident using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook). Proactive, organised, and able to keep a cool head under pressure.
