Plymouth, Devon | Full-time, Temporary to Permanent | Mon-Fri, 08:45am – 17:30pm

Pertemps, on behalf of our client, are delighted to be recruiting for a Buying Assistant to join their dynamic Head Office team in Plymouth. This is a fantastic opportunity to become part of a growing business where you\\\’ll play a key role in supporting the buying team and driving commercial success.

Responsibilities

  • Support the delivery of sales, stock and profit targets.
  • Assist in sourcing, listing, managing and developing product ranges and promotions.
  • Liaise with suppliers and maintain accurate product files.
  • Monitor competitor activity and research market trends.
  • Compile and interpret data to support buying strategies.
  • Ensure all admin, financial and system tasks are completed accurately and on time.
  • Provide regular information and support to stores.
  • Work with retail staff to ensure new ranges are rolled out smoothly.

About You

  • We\\\’re looking for someone who can demonstrate a genuine interest in retail with excellent commercial awareness.
  • Strong organisational, administrative and prioritisation skills.
  • Confidence working both independently and within a team.
  • Great communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Strong numerical and analytical ability with proficient PC skills.
  • Solid experience using Microsoft Excel (including formulas and graphs).
