Pertemps, on behalf of our client, are delighted to be recruiting for a Buying Assistant to join their dynamic Head Office team in Plymouth. This is a fantastic opportunity to become part of a growing business where you’ll play a key role in supporting the buying team and driving commercial success.
The Role As a Buying Assistant, you’ll work closely with the Senior Buying team to:
Support the delivery of sales, stock and profit targets.
Assist in sourcing, listing, managing and developing product ranges and promotions.
Liaise with suppliers and maintain accurate product files.
Monitor competitor activity and research market trends.
Compile and interpret data to support buying strategies.
Ensure all admin, financial and system tasks are completed accurately and on time.
Provide regular information and support to stores.
Work with retail staff to ensure new ranges are rolled out smoothly.About You We’re looking for someone who can demonstrate:
A genuine interest in retail with excellent commercial awareness.
Strong organisational, administrative and prioritisation skills.
Confidence working both independently and within a team.
Great communication skills, both written and verbal.
Strong numerical and analytical ability with proficient PC skills.
