We’re looking for a Junior Quantity Surveyor to join our client’s team, ideally with some experience in groundworks and civil engineering projects. You’ll help manage costs on construction jobs, make sure everything runs within budget, and support the team with measurements, quotes, and site visits. A driving licence is essential as you’ll need to travel to different sites.
Key Responsibilities:
- Measure and calculate materials and work needed for projects.
- Help prepare quotes, estimates, and budgets.
- Keep track of costs during a project to make sure spending stays on track.
- Visit construction sites to check progress and gather information.
- Work with contractors, suppliers, and the rest of the project team.
- Keep clear and accurate records and paperwork.
- Assist with contracts and paperwork for jobs.
What We’re Looking For:
- Ideally a degree or qualification in Quantity Surveying, Construction, or similar.
- Some experience with groundworks and civils (can be from a previous job or placement).
- Comfortable working with numbers and budgets.
