Hours: Weekly Rotating Monday to Friday: 06.00-14.00, 14.00-22.00 and 08.00-16.00
Overtime: Flexible Overtime may be required
Purpose of the job: To work within the Maintenance Department on shift, to cover all aspects of Preventative Maintenance, breakdown activities, building and facilities management. To assist Engineering projects, installations and the commissioning of equipment and processes as required.
Main duties and responsibilities:
- Work to achieve a Safe and Compliant factory, while maintaining productivity and efficiency.
- Maintaining the Site Electrical infrastructure, recommending improvements and manage site adherence to Electrical regulations.
- Report and capture all works on site CMMS to ensure site KPI targets are achieved.
- Undertake Reactive and Planned maintenance activities on site.
- Develop and improve maintenance systems and procedures on site.
- Look at continuous improvement activities to develop site capabilities and equipment reliability.
- Participate in site improvements, modifications, and capital investment projects on site.
- Management of contractors on site and ensuring work is carried out to the required levels.
Desired Skills:
- 5 years or more working in FMCG as Electrical bias engineer or similar role
- Educated to minimum NVQ Level 3 in engineering (time served Apprenticeship) or equivalent
- Automation - PLC, SCADA, Robots
- Experience with Instrumentation – Sensors, gauges, indicators
- Knowledge of current electrical safety standards and Practices
- Computer/IT skills are essential
- Must be a confident speaker with a good attitude towards work, and able to work under pressure
- Person must be a team player within the maintenance department and overall Operations team and, if required, able to work on their own
- Person must be able to work on their own initiative, self-motivated and able to prioritise work tasks
- Person must be able to follow instructions and ask for help when required
