We are delighted to be working with Northumbrian Water, who are looking to appoint a Plumber on a 6 month temporary contract. The role will be working throughout the Durham and Teesside area, a van, full kit and PPE will be provided. Hourly rate £14.69-£18.36ph dependant on experience.

Role description:

  • Face to face technical assistance to customers.
  • Installation of water meters, and water efficiency products in a commercial and domestic environment.
  • Identification of potential events/incidents.
  • Ensure that neither Health & Safety nor Water Quality is compromised.
  • Assist repair and maintenance teams.
  • Identification and location of leaks on underground network.
  • Enforcement of Water Regulations.
  • Completion of reports, as appropriate.
  • Meet the Company's customer service target.
  • Manage customers' expectations in line with preferred/optimum operational requirements.
  • Identification of commercial opportunities.
  • Participate in out of hours standby rota.
  • In addition, line managers may request employees to carry out other reasonable tasks in line with operational needs.

Role Requirements:

  • Driving Licence.
  • NVQ Level 2 in plumbing (or equivalent), as a minimum.
  • Previous customer service experience.
  • Knowledge of relevant policies/procedures.
  • City & Guilds Water Regulations.
  • NRSWA (Signing, Lighting & Guarding).
  • Water Hygiene (blue card).
