The Role as Head of Operations
As the Head of Operations Apprenticeships and Skills, you will take responsibility for overseeing the delivery and performance of our Apprenticeships and Skills Division. This role will involve managing and developing key operational areas, ensuring the quality and compliance of all apprenticeship and skills programmes. You will work closely with senior leaders to drive operational excellence, learner success, and continued growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategic Leadership & Team Management
- Lead the Apprenticeships and Skills team, ensuring alignment with their vision for high-quality learning and learner success.
- Develop and implement operational strategies to drive continuous improvement across all programmes.
- Provide leadership, guidance, and professional development opportunities for your team.
- Operational Excellence
- Oversee the smooth running of apprenticeship and skills delivery, ensuring high-quality learning experiences.
- Collaborate with senior leadership to implement operational processes that drive efficiency and learner achievement.
- Quality Assurance & Compliance
- Ensure all apprenticeship and skills programmes meet the required standards for Ofsted, ESFA, and DfE compliance.
- Act as the operational lead for maintaining quality assurance frameworks and regulatory compliance.
- Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) to senior leadership, ensuring targets are met.
- Apprenticeship & Adult Skills Delivery
- Ensure the effective and compliant delivery of apprenticeship and adult skills programmes.
- Work closely with team leads to monitor learner progress and ensure positive outcomes.
- Stakeholder Engagement
- Develop and maintain relationships with industry partners, stakeholders, and employers to enhance learning opportunities.
- Ensure all programmes are aligned with the needs of employers and sector demands.
- Data-Driven Decision Making
- Utilise data to assess the effectiveness of programmes, identify areas for improvement, and inform operational decisions.
- Budget & Resource Management
- Oversee the budget for the Apprenticeships and Skills Division, ensuring effective allocation of resources to meet strategic goals.
- Diversity & Inclusion
- Champion diversity, equality, and inclusion within the organisation and ensure these principles are embedded across all programmes.
- Promote a positive learning environment where all learners feel valued and supported.
