We are currently recruiting for 7.5t Delivery Drivers for our client based in Spennymoor on an ad hoc / part time basis with an immediate start!
As part of a two-person delivery team, the Drivers will assist with deliveries and may help to assemble the products at our customers' homes. The role will include:
- Completing deliveries on time, to schedule and most importantly ensuring customers are left happy
- Being friendly and helpful throughout
- Keeping customers informed by calling ahead
- Delivering and assembling furniture
- Supporting an environment and culture where the Customer is firmly at the centre of everything that we do
- Monitoring vehicle roadworthiness and reporting any defects
Skills and Driving Licence Requirements:
- A UK driving licence Cat C1
- Valid driver’s CPC DQ card / valid drivers digital card
- Previous commercial driving experience in a 7.5t vehicle
- Previous experience and understanding of using digital tachographs
- Ability to lift and manoeuvre heavy items of furniture with manual handling experience
- A DBS will be processed due to entering customers' houses
- Desirable experience of using a PDA
Hourly Rate: £13.95
Shifts: Monday to Friday Day shifts (Ad Hoc)
