Finance Assistant South Shields Monday – Friday ( 35 Hours) We are currently recruiting for an exciting opportunity to join one of our local clients in South Tyneside area for a Finance Assistant where you will play a key part in the day-to-day financial operations of the business. Responsibilities Responsibility for the control and recording of all Sales invoices onto the appropriate ledgers. Responsibility for completion of the daily bank account and petty cash reconciliations for the recording of all transactions on the college finance system. To lead on the Front of House cash office, to ensure learners and staff are issued cash when required and in accordance with regulations. Assist students in the arrangement of periodic payment plans (e.g. standing orders) to pay their course fees and prepare documentation for raising of sales invoices in the event of non-payment. Liaise with curriculum administrators and MIS department to ensure accurate recording of student loans and learner deposits on both the finance system and EBS using data in the HE Portal Gateway (HEP). Monthly reconciliation and rolling of the Sales/Cashbook ledgers. Administration of the purchase order system/processing in accordance with Financial Regulations.
