The Role
As a Teaching Support Apprenticeship Trainer/Assessor, you'll coach and guide learners across:
- Level 3 Teaching Assistant
- Level 5 Specialist Teaching Assistant
- Level 5 Operations/Departmental Manager
You’ll deliver engaging training, assess progress, and provide tailored support to help learners succeed – both in their roles and through End-Point Assessment.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct initial assessments and create tailored learning plans
- Deliver training sessions (virtual and in-person), covering Knowledge, Skills, and Behaviours
- Provide guidance on safeguarding, British Values, Prevent, and career development
- Monitor learner progress and ensure timely achievement of portfolios and qualifications
- Deliver or support Functional Skills (Maths and English) as needed
- Collaborate with employers to support learning in the workplace
- Identify and support Additional Learning Needs (ALN)
- Ensure accurate documentation and compliance reporting
- Promote online safety, mental health awareness, and career development
- Stay up to date with standards through CPD and standardisation activities
About You
Essential:
- A recognised teaching qualification (ideally Level 5 or equivalent)
- Experience as a Teacher, TA, or Education Manager
- Proven track record of managing performance through people
- Level 2 (or above) qualifications in Maths and English
- Strong knowledge of apprenticeships and the education sector
- Confident in using digital platforms, ePortfolios, and IT systems
- Full UK Driving license and access to a vehicle
Desirable:
- Assessor (CAVA), IQA
