A leading accountancy practice is currently seeking a skilled and motivated Assistant Accountant to join their growing team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with solid experience in management accounts preparation who\’s looking to take the next step in their career.

You\’ll be joining a firm that supports a diverse client base, offering exposure to varied industries and projects while working in a collaborative and professional environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare management accounts, financial statements, and tax returns for a portfolio of clients
  • Assist senior accountants with audits and financial analysis
  • Support with VAT returns, bookkeeping, and general ledger maintenance
  • Prepare corporation tax computations and liaise with HMRC as required
  • Provide timely responses to client queries and maintain strong client relationships
  • Ensure compliance with UK financial regulations and internal quality standards

Ideal Candidate Profile:

  • Previous Accounts Assistant experience, ideally in practice.
  • Proven ability to prepare management accounts independently
  • Strong understanding of UK accounting principles and tax legislation
  • Confident using a range of accounting and spreadsheet tools
  • Excellent attention to detail, communication, and organisational skills
  • Experience in statement confirmation and payroll is advantageous
  • Full right to work in the UK
