Specialist recruiter for permanent careers within technical and engineering throughout London and the Southeast.
Location: Near Crowborough
Our client is a leading manufacturer of specialist test and measurement devices, serving industrial and commercial construction and development sectors. They are seeking an experienced Production Supervisor to lead and develop a small but skilled team across multiple assembly departments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and support a team across 5–6 assembly departments.
- Oversee assembly, wiring, calibration, testing and repair of electrical and electromechanical systems.
- Allocate work orders, monitor KPIs, and ensure quality standards are consistently met.
- Supervise tasks including wiring, drilling, soldering and assembly.
- Prepare quality reports and maintain compliance within production processes.
- Drive efficiency through Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and Continuous Improvement initiatives.
- Work closely with the Operations Manager and utilise ERP systems for workflow management.
Candidate Profile:
- Strong background in electrical/electromechanical assembly and production environments.
- Proven supervisory or team leadership experience.
- Skilled in quality control, process improvement and staff development.
- Familiarity with Lean, Six Sigma and ERP systems highly desirable.
