Contract: Full Time, Permanent

Working Pattern: Home-based working supported, with periodic attendance at the office for team check-ins.

We are working on behalf of a North East-based learning provider, rated Good by Ofsted, to recruit passionate Trainers/Skills Coaches to join their team. The organisation delivers a wide range of funded programmes and apprenticeships in Health, Social Care, Early Years, and Adult Care, including Levels 2–5 and diploma-only courses.

Salary & Benefits of the Adult Health and Social Care Trainer/Skills Coach:

  • £28,000–£32,000
  • 25–30 days annual leave plus bank holidays
  • Mileage paid at 45p per mile

The Role:

As a Trainer/Skills Coach, you will manage a maximum caseload of up to 40 learners, including apprentices, diploma learners, bootcamp participants, and short-course learners. You will deliver high-quality teaching, learning, and assessment, supporting learners in Health and Social Care to achieve their qualifications, stay engaged, and progress positively.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, deliver, and assess learning against National Occupational Standards
  • Deliver engaging classroom-based and work-based sessions
  • Monitor learner progress and maintain accurate records
  • Complete reviews and update e-portfolios within 48 hours of assessment
  • Support End Point Assessments and examinations
  • Maintain safeguarding, quality, and compliance standards
  • Participate in standardisation meetings, performance reviews, and CPD activities

Who We’re Looking For:

  • Enthusiastic, learner-focused, and committed to high-quality delivery
  • Minimum Level 3 qualification in Adult Health & Social Care (Level 5 preferred)
  • Extensive experience in Adult Health & Social Care, ideally at Team Leader or Management level
  • Recognised Assessors and Teachers Award desirable (company support provided)
  • Excellent IT skills
  • Own transport and flexibility to travel throughout the North East
