A UK-based manufacturer with a strong global footprint is seeking a commercially astute and proactive Export Sales Manager to drive continued growth across international markets. This is a high-impact role for an experienced sales leader with a strong understanding of distributor-led growth and global market dynamics.
The Role
Working from the company’s headquarters, you’ll lead international business development efforts and manage a small internal team. With a focus on expanding distributor networks and strengthening relationships across EU and non-EU markets, you’ll play a key role in shaping the company’s global commercial strategy.
This role suits a hands-on, data-driven sales professional who’s comfortable working across different time zones, cultures, and industries – and who knows how to combine commercial strategy with day-to-day execution.
Key Responsibilities:
- Build, develop, and manage international distributor partnerships
- Provide leadership and support to the internal export sales team
- Conduct market research to identify and pursue new sales opportunities
- Analyse regional performance data to inform strategic planning
- Oversee the full sales cycle, ensuring a high standard of service
- Deliver remote demonstrations and presentations in line with sustainability commitments
- Stay up to date with export legislation, compliance, and logistics requirements
- Contribute ideas for new product development based on international trends and feedback
Ideal Candidate Profile:
- Proven experience in export or international sales, ideally in a B2B or capital goods context
- Strong background in indirect sales via distributor networks
- Strategic mindset with excellent commercial and negotiation skills
- Confident team leader with the ability to coach and motivate
- Entrepreneurial and self-motivated, with strong execution capability
- Knowledge of global markets, logistics, and export compliance
- Ability to adapt to diverse markets and work collaboratively across cultures
