Sheridan Maine is pleased to be partnering with a well-established and highly regarded accountancy firm based in West Sussex, who are looking to recruit an Audit Senior or Audit Manager to join their growing audit team. The Role
Depending on your level and experience, you will take responsibility for leading audits from planning through to completion, working closely with clients and senior stakeholders.
Responsibilities (Audit Senior / Audit Manager)
- Planning, leading, and completing statutory audits for a varied client base.
- Supervising, mentoring, and reviewing the work of junior team members.
- Preparing and reviewing audit files and financial statements.
- Acting as the main point of contact for clients during the audit process.
- Identifying and communicating audit findings and recommendations.
- Ensuring compliance with UK auditing and accounting standards.
- Supporting managers and partners on larger or more complex audit engagements.
Requirements
- Proven audit experience within a UK accountancy practice (preferably a minimum of 2 years).
- Be ACA or ACCA qualified, or nearing qualification.
- Strong technical knowledge of UK audit and accounting standards.
- Experience of leading audits and managing client relationships.
- For Audit Manager candidates: experience managing audit teams and overseeing multiple assignments.
