We are recruiting on behalf of a leading Further Education College for an experienced Careers and Student Employment Manager to join their Student Services team. You will manage and coordinate the Careers and World of Work provision, ensuring high-quality support for students and apprentices. The role involves leading teams to provide impartial advice, overseeing work experience and placement activities, and contributing to the continuous development of the college’s Careers Programme.
What we’re looking for:
- Extensive experience managing Careers and Work Experience services in an FE environment
- Level 6 Diploma in Careers Guidance & Development and GCSEs in English & Maths (Grade A-C or equivalent)
- Proven track record in achieving Gatsby Benchmarks and collaborating with employers and external agencies
- Strong professionalism, integrity, and resilience under pressure
- Flexibility and adaptability to thrive in a dynamic environment
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and support a team delivering high-quality careers advice and guidance
- Manage work experience and placement programmes for students and apprentices
- Contribute to the development and delivery of the Careers Programme
- Support student progression to employment, higher education, or internal courses
- Organise and participate in careers events, open evenings, and college initiatives
- Ensure compliance with Gatsby Benchmarks, Matrix Standard, and Careers Guidance standards
