A well-established and growing manufacturing and engineering group is seeking an experienced Controls Technician / Controls Engineer to join its team. You will be responsible for supporting the full lifecycle of control system projects — from initial client discussions through to design, testing and site support.
- Liaising with clients to define system specifications and project requirements
- Designing electrical schematics in line with relevant electrical and safety standards
- Developing PLC and HMI software (SCADA experience advantageous but not essential)
- Testing equipment for electrical safety and operational compliance prior to dispatch
- Preparing technical documentation and manuals
- Supporting control panel builds in the workshop when required
- Delivering remote/telephone technical support
- Attending site visits when required for commissioning and system support
- Supporting general workshop and light administrative duties within a small business environment
- Take pride in delivering high-quality work and customer service
- Be proactive, organised and comfortable working in a hands-on engineering environment
