Sheridan Maine is pleased to be partnering with a well-established and highly regarded accountancy firm based in West Sussex, who are looking to recruit an Audit Senior or Audit Manager to join their growing audit team. This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious audit professional to join a supportive practice, work with a diverse client portfolio, and progress their career within a firm that values development and quality.
The Role
- Planning, leading, and completing statutory audits for a varied client base.
- Supervising, mentoring, and reviewing the work of junior team members.
- Preparing and reviewing audit files and financial statements.
- Acting as the main point of contact for clients during the audit process.
- Identifying and communicating audit findings and recommendations.
- Ensuring compliance with UK auditing and accounting standards.
- Supporting managers and partners on larger or more complex audit engagements.
Requirements
- Proven audit experience within a UK accountancy practice (preferably a minimum of 2 years).
- Be ACA or ACCA qualified, or nearing qualification.
- Strong technical knowledge of UK audit and accounting standards.
- Experience of leading audits and managing client relationships.
- For Audit Manager candidates: experience managing audit teams and overseeing multiple assignments.
