The Company Sheridan Maine is partnering with a well‑established and respected accountancy practice in London to recruit an Accountant. The Role
The Accountant will manage a portfolio of clients, prepare financial statements, and support audits and compliance. This hands‑on role offers exposure to a range of accounting tasks and the opportunity to work closely with senior colleagues. The Accountant will be responsible for:
- Preparing and consolidating financial statements in line with statutory requirements.
- Producing monthly and year‑end management accounts and reports.
- Preparing journals and supporting audit schedules.
- Liaising with clients and external auditors as required.
- Keeping up to date with accounting standards and implementing reporting changes.
- Supporting the wider finance team with ad‑hoc projects and tasks.
The successful Accountant will possess:
- ACA, ACCA, or CIMA qualified or part‑qualified.
- Strong technical knowledge of accounting standards and statutory reporting.
- Experience preparing financial statements and supporting audits.
- Excellent communication and client relationship skills.
- Highly organised with strong attention to detail.
- Experience with ERP/accounting software.
