We are looking for an enthusiastic Band 5 Pharmacy Technician to support a busy Acute Hospital. This is a patient facing, ongoing role, offering the opportunity to contribute to patient care across both outpatient and inpatient pharmacy areas. This is a hands-on clinical role requiring a thorough individual, with excellent communication skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Dispense and accuracy-check prescriptions
- Support accurate medication history taking
- Liaise with nurses and doctors regarding discrepancies with patients’ medication to improve patient care
- Provide counselling and complex medication advice to patients and other healthcare professionals
- Work as part of the wider multidisciplinary team
- Ensure legal and professional standards are met in dispensing and supply
Essential Requirements
- GPhC Registration
- Previous experience working in a hospital pharmacy setting
- Great communication skills
