We are seeking a highly skilled Band 8b pharmacist to join an acute trust on a ward-based assignment. This senior role involves providing advanced clinical pharmacy services across key specialities, including:
- General Medicine
- Surgery
- Orthopaedics
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver and lead high-level clinical pharmacy services across assigned wards
- Provide advanced medicines optimisation and clinical leadership
- Oversee complex medicines reconciliation and therapeutic reviews
- Act as a specialist advisor to multidisciplinary teams and senior clinicians
- Support safe prescribing, clinical governance and policy implementation
- Contribute to discharge planning, patient counselling and service improvement initiatives
Requirements
- GPhC Registered Pharmacist
- Significant hospital experience at Band 8a/8b level
- Strong clinical expertise within acute care settings
- Ability to work autonomously and provide leadership within multidisciplinary teams
