We are seeking an experienced Band 8a Pharmacist to join a busy acute trust on a ward-based assignment. This is an excellent opportunity for a confident clinician to provide high-quality pharmaceutical care across a range of specialities including:
- General Medicine
- Surgery
- Orthopaedics
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver comprehensive clinical pharmacy services to assigned wards
- Provide expert medicines optimisation support to multidisciplinary teams
- Conduct medicines reconciliation and clinical reviews
- Ensure safe and effective prescribing, dispensing and administration
- Offer specialist advice to clinicians, nursing staff and patients
- Contribute to discharge planning and patient counselling
Requirements
- GPhC Registered Pharmacist
- Previous ward-based hospital experience (Band 7/8a level)
- Strong clinical knowledge in acute care
- Ability to work independently within a multidisciplinary environment
- Excellent communication and decision-making skills
