Job Overview
We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Band 6 pharmacist to join the friendly and supportive pharmacy team at this NHS Trust, delivering high-quality pharmaceutical care across the inpatient and outpatient dispensary services. This role is ideal for newly qualified or early-career pharmacists who are ready to build solid clinical and operational experience in a busy hospital environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Performing clinical screening of prescriptions to ensure safe, appropriate, and effective use of medicines
- Carrying out final accuracy checks (If ACT Trained) to support timely and safe supply of medications
- Providing tailored patient counselling to promote understanding, adherence, and safe use of prescribed treatments
- Working collaboratively with pharmacy technicians and assistants to maintain high standards of dispensing and supply
- Supporting the delivery of a patient-centred service in line with hospital policies and national guidelines
