About the Role
We are seeking a motivated Band 7 Pharmacist to join an acute trust on a ward-based assignment. The successful candidate will support clinical pharmacy services across a range of acute specialities, including:
- General Medicine
- Surgery
- Orthopaedics
Key Responsibilities
- Provide clinical pharmacy support to allocated wards
- Conduct medicines reconciliation and clinical reviews
- Support safe prescribing and medicines optimisation
- Work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams
- Offer advice to clinicians, nursing staff and patients
- Assist with discharge planning and patient counselling
Requirements
- GPhC Registered Pharmacist
- Previous hospital or ward-based experience (Band 6/7 level)
- Strong clinical knowledge in acute care
- Ability to work independently and as part of a wider team
- Good communication and problem-solving skills
