We are seeking a driver’s mate for our client based in Swanley. As a Driver’s Mate, you will be working as part of a 2-man crew and assisting the delivery driver in transporting goods to customers' homes. This is a physically demanding role that requires teamwork, attention to detail, and excellent customer service skills. You will be responsible for helping with the safe and efficient delivery of items to various customers across London, the Southeast and Essex.

Job Type: Temporary (Temp to Perm for the right candidate)
Rota: 5 days a week (Saturday work is essential and is rota based)
Hours: 8am – 4pm
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist your colleague with loading and unloading deliveries safely and efficiently.
- Ensure that deliveries are completed on time, with care, and in a professional manner.
- Help with the assembly and placement of products in customers' homes, if required.
- Communicate with the driver and the customer to ensure a smooth delivery experience.
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment in the vehicle and warehouse.
- Follow all health and safety guidelines to ensure safe delivery practices.
Essential Requirements:
- Physically fit and able to handle heavy lifting, up to 90kg.
- Friendly, approachable, and confident when interacting with customers.
- A good team player with a positive attitude.
- Punctual and reliable.
- Previous experience in a delivery or customer-facing role is desirable but not essential.
- Must be able to travel to the depot.
