My Client is currently seeking a Damp and Timber Surveyor to prescribe remedial treatments typically for domestic properties, working on a self employed basis. Salary depends on experience. The ideal candidate would have one of the below qualifications or equivalent. Certified Surveyor for remedial treatment (CSRT) Certified Surveyor in Structural Waterproofing (CSSW) Certified Surveyor of Timber and Dampness in Buildings (CSTDB) Certified Surveyor of Dampness in Buildings (CSDB) Proof of qualifications will be needed. You will need previous experience in either covering site visits, production of basic floor plans with site notes detailing issues and recommendations for remedial steps. You will need to have a good understanding of damp & timber treatments options relating to structural damp in ground or below ground areas. Also will need to have a good understanding of condensation. Basic knowledge on CAD would be preferable but is not desirable as training can be giving, this is for producing basic floor plans. You will be situated in, or close to the London area, and will be required to use your own transport and be willing to travel around London. You will be reimbursed with 40p per mile petrol costs. You will need to be empathetic and have good customer service skills with strong communication skills
