Pertemps Network Group are seeking a Housing Assistant in West London to support the delivery of an effective tenancy and estate management service, ensuring compliance with tenancy conditions, improving estate standards, enhancing resident satisfaction, and contributing to a safe, well-managed living environment.
Responsibilities:
- Provide high-quality support to Housing Officers and Managers across all tenancy and estate management functions.
- Assist with estate inspections, follow-up actions, fire risk assessment recommendations, tenancy verification checks and low-level ASB tasks.
- Handle general admin duties including letter writing, filing, research tasks and managing estate-related documentation.
- Support Tenant & Resident Associations with day-to-day administration and community engagement tasks.
- Maintain accurate records, using both manual and computerised systems, including appointment scheduling and case monitoring.
- Attend home visits, resident meetings, estate walkabouts and events when required (including occasional evenings/weekends).
- Provide advice on tenancy changes (succession, assignment, joint/sole tenancy), ensuring all paperwork is completed correctly for officer review.
- Assist with the voids and lettings process, liaising with Property Services, monitoring works, arranging viewings and supporting new tenant sign-ups.
- Prepare sign-up documentation and ensure sign-up packs are complete and ready in advance.
- Use council housing management systems effectively, ensuring all information is entered accurately and promptly.
- Support performance reporting and service improvement tasks, including invoice processing during staff absence.
- Deliver a professional front-of-house service, handling a wide range of enquiries and resolving issues at first point of contact.
- Maintain high standards of conduct and ensure compliance with all council policies, procedures and service guidelines.
- Provide flexible cover across office opening hours, including working variable shifts as required.
