Pertemps Network Group are assisting a London Housing Provider who are seeking an energetic and proactive Contract Manager to oversee cleaning and grounds maintenance contracts across its estates. You will bring proven contract management experience, strong relationship-building skills, and the ability to work with contractors to deliver high-quality, resident-focused services. You will also support residents with service concerns, provide practical solutions, and continuously enhance the delivery of estate services.
As Contract Manager, you will:
- Ensure the effective management of estate cleaning and grounds maintenance contracts.
- Hold regular monthly performance meetings, monitoring delivery against SLAs and KPIs.
- Line manage a team of Contract Monitoring Officers, overseeing contract compliance and service standards.
- Lead a team responsible for investigating and responding to resident enquiries and complaints, ensuring a high-quality customer experience.
- Oversee inspections across estates, identifying issues and recommending service improvements.
- Manage and analyse performance data to drive contract improvements and produce management reports.
- Work collaboratively with stakeholders to resolve issues affecting current or future service delivery (regeneration or development projects).
- Ensure high standards of health & safety are adhered to across waste collection, street cleansing, and related service areas.
- Deliver projects aimed at enhancing service quality and resident satisfaction.
- Ensure actions and decisions support the organisation’s climate and environmental commitments.
- Attend formal and informal meetings, sometimes outside standard working hours, such as resident surgeries, TRA meetings, estate walkabouts, and forums, as required by the provider’s resident involvement strategy.
ABOUT YOU
- Experience or strong capability to manage a customer-facing team within a contract management or estate services setting.
- Ability to manage performance, KPIs, and a dispersed workforce while ensuring accountability and high standards.
- A strong commitment to maintaining estate standards and delivering excellent customer care.
- Experience in contract management (or the ability to quickly develop in this area).
- A positive, motivated, solution-focused approach.
- Ability to work collaboratively across different teams and services to resolve issues.
- Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify issues (estate cleanliness, contract failures, service performance) and implement effective solutions.
- Excellent written skills, able to produce clear and concise reports requiring minimal editing.
- Strong IT skills, including the ability to analyse and interpret data.
- A genuine interest in environmental sustainability, particularly waste reduction.
- Willingness to attend some evening meetings.
