A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Plant Fitter to join a long-standing, family-run business. Due to continued growth, they are now looking to expand and bring a skilled Plant Fitter into the team. The position offers a basic salary of £40,000 for experienced candidates, working Monday to Friday with an early finish on Fridays and occasional Saturday mornings.
The main duties of a Plant Fitter are:
- Service, maintain, and repair a range of plant machinery.
- Respond to on-site breakdowns as required.
- Work both independently and within a small, supportive team.
- Use your technical knowledge to diagnose faults efficiently.
- Provide a reliable and professional service when attending customer sites.
- Ensure machinery is maintained to a high standard to support business operations.
To be considered for this position you must possess the following:
- NVQ Level 3 Construction Equipment Maintenance Technician or Equivalent.
- Full UK Driver's License.
- Experience working with Bobcat skid steer loaders (essential).
- Previous experience as a Plant Fitter or similar mechanical role.
- A strong work ethic with the ability to work on your own initiative.
- Good communication skills and a professional attitude.
- Flexibility to travel to sites when required (company vehicle provided if applicable).
