A leading manufacturing and automation company in Wrexham is looking for a Manufacturing Systems Software Engineer to join their automation team. The business designs and builds advanced production lines and uses robotics, automation and smart factory technology to support high-volume manufacturing and remanufacturing operations.

You’ll be working on modern automation projects including robotics, cobots, Industry 4.0 and bespoke production lines used in the UK and overseas.

Responsibilities
  • Configure and support SCADA, HMI and MES systems
  • Develop and support C# and web-based OT applications
  • Integrate PLCs and machines with databases and IT systems
  • Install, test and commission systems on production lines
  • Support and improve existing OT and automation systems
  • Work with IT teams on data, reporting and cybersecurity
  • Maintain clear technical documentation
Requirements
  • Experience with PLC, SCADA, HMI or MES systems
  • Knowledge of industrial networks such as OPC UA, Ethernet/IP or Modbus
  • C# / .NET development experience
  • SQL and database knowledge
  • Experience working in a manufacturing or production environment
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Able to work across multiple projects and deadlines
