A leading manufacturing and automation company in Wrexham is looking for a Manufacturing Systems Software Engineer to join their automation team. The business designs and builds advanced production lines and uses robotics, automation and smart factory technology to support high-volume manufacturing and remanufacturing operations. You will be working on modern automation projects including robotics, cobots, Industry 4.0 and bespoke production lines used in the UK and overseas.
Responsibilities
- Configure and support SCADA, HMI and MES systems
- Develop and support C# and web-based OT applications
- Integrate PLCs and machines with databases and IT systems
- Install, test and commission systems on production lines
- Support and improve existing OT and automation systems
- Work with IT teams on data, reporting and cybersecurity
- Maintain clear technical documentation
Requirements
- Experience with PLC, SCADA, HMI or MES systems
- Knowledge of industrial networks such as OPC UA, Ethernet/IP or Modbus
- C# / .NET development experience
- SQL and database knowledge
- Experience working in a manufacturing or production environment
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Able to work across multiple projects and deadlines
