The Role
We are recruiting an Injection Moulding Supervisor to lead a small team in a busy moulding department. Full training will be provided, and the role is subject to a successful probation period. You will oversee the safe and efficient operation of moulding machines and ensure production and quality standards are consistently met.
Key Responsibilities
- Set up Injection Moulding Machines (10 β 650 tonne)
- Conduct mould tool trials and process optimisation
- Carry out first-line maintenance on moulding machines, tooling, and ancillary equipment
- Contribute to 6S, Continuous Improvement Team (CIT), and Six Sigma projects
- Perform quality checks to ensure parts meet customer requirements
- Ensure full compliance with Health & Safety regulations
- Meet production schedules and OEE targets
- Train and develop shift staff
- Follow all Moulding Procedures and systems during shifts
Desired Skills & Experience
- Previous experience advantageous but not essential β full training provided
- Experience with plastic processing machinery
- Knowledge of engineering polymers
- Programming skills of CNC 3-axis and pick-and-place robots
- Basic computer literacy (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- NVQ 3 in Polymer Processing or PTL Level 3 or above desirable
- Strong communication and leadership skills
- Effective problem-solving skills
- Experience working shift systems
- HNC or above in an engineering discipline desirable
