Hours: Mon – Fri, 09:00 – 17:30

We are working on behalf of one of our clients to recruit a motivated and detail-focused Legal Cashier to join their Accounts department. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting the firm\’s financial processes, maintaining accurate client and office records, and ensuring a high standard of administrative organisation throughout the business.

Responsibilities

• Set up new matters on Proclaim, ensuring all client and case details are entered accurately to support smooth file progression.
• Process and input invoices into the system, ensuring consistency, accuracy, and timely updating of financial records.
• Maintain oversight of client balances by regularly checking figures on Proclaim and flagging any discrepancies or issues promptly.
• Prepare and raise additional invoices where required, ensuring all charges are correctly calculated before sending them to clients or fee earners.
• Send payment reminder texts to clients in a professional and courteous manner, helping to maintain positive relationships while supporting debt recovery.
• Print, prepare, and review account ledgers in readiness for file closure, ensuring records are complete and compliant.
• Archive both digital and physical files, following established procedures to ensure secure, organised, and compliant storage of client documentation.

Requirements

• Previous experience in legal administration
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy when handling financial information
• Good working knowledge of IT systems; Proclaim experience is advantageous
• Confident communicator with a professional telephone manner
• Ability to manage a busy workload and prioritise tasks effectively
• Reliable, organised, and able to work well as part of a team
