As an Inventory Controller, you’ll be responsible for maintaining accurate and up-to-date inventory records. This position involves handling a range of goods in a well-structured, temperature-controlled environment, including ambient, chilled, and freezer zones. Attention to detail and a strong work ethic are key to success in this role.
All candidates must successfully complete a DBS check and drug & alcohol test prior to starting.
Key Responsibilities:- Complete daily inventory counts (approx. 160) and maintain stock accuracy.
- Perform pallet quality checks and support relabelling activities.
- Lock/release stock using the WMS.
- Conduct 100% checks on large contract orders.
- Support PI counts and stock investigations.
- Organise and inspect pallets for disposal.
- Carry out Goods-In and Frozen stock allocation checks.
- Produce capacity reports and support systemic checks.
- Log and investigate damages.
- Provide holiday/sickness cover for the Inventory Analyst.
- Previous experience in a similar role.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and Word.
- Previous experience using Warehouse Management Systems, ideally Manhattan.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow processes accurately.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Willingness to work in cold storage areas as required.
- “Can Do” attitude.
- VNA (Very Narrow Aisle) truck experience but in-house training available.
- PPT (Powered Pallet Truck) experience but in-house training available.
