The Role
You will play a key role in running and monitoring manufacturing processes within a dedicated production cell. Full cross-training will be provided, giving you the opportunity to develop your skills across multiple machines. The role involves producing sheet lead using rolling mills, slitters, and saws, while maintaining high safety, quality, and efficiency standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Achieve daily production targets in line with departmental requirements
- Identify, report, and escalate equipment faults or issues impacting production
- Ensure all machinery and operating conditions are correctly set prior to manufacture
- Accurately record production output and other operational data
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organised work area
- Adhere to company systems, procedures, and health & safety standards
Requirements
- Previous experience operating machinery in manufacturing or heavy engineering
- Valid Counterbalance FLT licence (mandatory)
- Strong team-working skills
- Flexible and reliable approach to work
