A fantastic opportunity awaits as we are currently seeking a Welder to join a leading manufacturing company, represented by Pertemps Network Group, based in Gainsborough, Lincolnshire. As a Welder, you'll be an integral part of the Manufacturing Department, crafting high-quality components to precise customer specifications. What will I be paid? Hourly rate: Starting at £14.01 per hour up to £16.61. Overtime is paid at increased rates.

What will I be doing as a Welder?

  • Welding components in stainless and mild steel using TIG or gas fusion welding techniques
  • Reading and interpreting engineering drawings and weld symbols to meet customer specifications
  • Using jigs, fixtures, and measuring equipment to ensure accuracy and minimise scrap
  • Completing check sheets for traceability in line with standards
  • Maintaining a clean, safe, and organised work environment
  • Reporting any issues, defects, or safety concerns to the Team Leader promptly

What skills and experience do I need?

  • Experience in welding techniques, particularly TIG or gas fusion welding, up to 2mm thick (stainless steel)
  • Ability to work from Standard Operating Procedures and use jigs/fixtures for quality control
  • Health and Safety awareness and a commitment to maintaining a safe working environment
  • Strong attention to detail and a quality-focused mindset
  • Enthusiastic, reliable, and team-oriented attitude
  • Ability to read engineering drawings and weld symbols (desirable)
  • Experience in a manufacturing or factory environment (preferred)
  • Reliable transport to reach site

Working hours: Monday to Friday 06:00 to 14:30 (with potential for overtime)
