We are looking for an organised and proactive Transport Resource Planner to join our clients fast-paced logistics operation in Newark. This is a key role where you’ll ensure drivers, vehicles, and routes are planned efficiently to keep daily operations running smoothly.

What hours will I be working?

You will be working office hours of 08:00 - 17:00 each day. There is a choice of two shift patterns (these do not rotate): either Monday to Friday or Sunday to Thursday.

How much will I be paid?

You will be paid £14.00 per hour.

What will I be expected to do?

  • Create and manage daily and weekly driver and vehicle plans
  • Allocate drivers, vehicles, and routes to meet operational demands
  • Manage rotas, holidays, and last-minute changes
  • Monitor live operations and resolve issues quickly and effectively
  • Ensure full compliance with Working Time Directive (WTD) and driver hours
  • Maintain accurate data and reports using TMS and Excel

  • Previous experience in transport planning or logistics coordination
  • Strong knowledge of driver hours and transport compliance
  • Confident communicator with excellent attention to detail
  • Able to remain calm, organised, and decisive in a fast-paced environment
  • Comfortable using planning systems and Excel
